The Chablis Premier Cru Vaucoupin from Domaine Michaut comes from the north of Burgundy, near the city of Auxerre. The wine comes from the best vineyards that are planted along the river Serein.
The climate of the premier cru vineyard Vaucoupin is characterized by a favorable location on the southeast with a soil of marl and limestone with small oyster shells in the rocks.
The vinification is traditional. The Chablis ferments in steel at a controlled temperature and then stays on the fine lees for 11 months.
Ideal wine for storing. Can be drunk now but also easily after 8 years.
Good meal accompaniment with oysters, grilled fish, tasty white mold cheeses or fruits de mer.
