Don Papa Rum, produced by the Bleeding Heart Rum Company, is a tribute to Papa Isio, an almost forgotten hero of the Philippine Revolution. Don Papa, formerly an overseer on a sugar cane plantation, joined the resistance to expel the Spanish rulers from his beloved homeland.
Don Papa Rum is distilled on the Philippine island of Negros from the finest sugar cane that grows in rich, volcanic soil, giving it its unique flavor. Don Papa Rum is then aged for more than 7 years at the foot of Mount Kanlaon in American oak barrels.
