Flores de Callejo has an attractive cherry color with purple edges. On the nose, the wine is very aromatic with clear notes of wild berries, hints of sweet herbs, violets and balsamic vinegar. In taste, the structure is fleshy, lively, with flavors of berries, cinnamon, spices, balsamic and it has a persistent aftertaste.
The harvest of 2020 was of high quality and very typical of Ribera del Duero. Although little rainfall (only 365 l / m2 was recorded during the year), it was well distributed in winter, spring and the month of June. The winter temperatures were not too cold, which allowed a somewhat earlier bud break than normal at the end of April. The month of June was hot, but in the summer there were no days with temperatures as high as the harvest '18 the year before, which encouraged full ripening. The harvest started at the end of September to the beginning of October. Excellent grape quality, small bunches and a good sugar / acid balance.
Aging: 5 months in both barrels and stainless steel tanks.
