Quinta do Regueiro

Quinta do Regueiro in Melgaço, Vinho Verde, embodies 21st century Portugal. Quality is at least as important as tradition for this company in the valley of the Minho. It therefore works with regional grapes, but not with guidance along pergolas. The sticks are planted in regular rows and are guided along wire. This yields optimally ripe grapes that give the wines a special power and lots of character. The vineyards of the quinta are on slopes with a weathered granite base that retains heat well. Its location is on the south, so that they can optimally benefit from the solar heat.
