Tawny Port has an aroma of ripe and dried dark fruit.Very balanced and with an elegant character.The wine has a fresh, long and powerful finish.This Tawny Morgadio da Calçada ripens in Vila Nova de Gaia, in the cellars of Niepoort, in Port barrels for about 3 years.It is mostly vinified in mills, with traditional steps.The grapes come mainly from the Proveže region and other low-production vineyards in Cima Corgo.It is a versatile wine that can either be served with chocolate desserts or slightly chilled as an aperitif, with pâté or foie gras.
