Description
Valpolicella Superiore Case Vecie has a ruby red color. In the fragrance it has aromas of cherries, balsamic and notes of vanilla and spices. On the palate it has a smooth taste and good structure. It is a full-bodied wine with a fresh acidity, ripe fruit and modest tannins. A very drinkable wine that can be drunk every day.
After selection of the Amarone grapes - for which the protection authorities annually determine the amount that can undergo the drying process - the rest of the grapes are harvested. Brigaldara obtains Valpolicella from the vinification of these fresh grapes. After about a year of aging in 25 hL Slavonian oak barrels, the Valpolicella wine from the Case Vecie vineyard is named Superiore, due to its slightly higher alcohol content, lower acidity and a more velvety and harmonious taste.
Valpolicella Superiore Case Vecie is made from fresh grapes, mainly Corvina and Corvinone. It takes its name from the 10 ha vineyard of the same name in Grezzana - Valpantena. It is a unique vineyard, with a perfect southeastern location. Here the grapes are exposed to important temperature differences between day and night, which gives the wine a special spiciness. Despite trying to stay anchored in the origins of drinkable wine, Valpolicella Superiore actually combines complexity and structure through slow maturation. The wine is aged for about 1 year in Slavonian oak barrels of 25 hl.
