Reserva Field blend is an assembly of several plots of 100-year-old vines in the heart of the Vallado vineyard.The wine is made from more than 35 mixed grape varieties with a predominance of tinta roriz, tinta amarela, touriga franca and tinta barroca.The wine has an impressively rich structure, perfumed black fruit and some firm tannins that will lend well to aging.The scent is very concentrated, with notes of balsamic, fig, blackberry and tobacco.It has full, firm, ripe and silky tannins.Mineral notes and a very elegant, lingering and complex finish.
Some of the grapes are trampled in traditional granite 'lagares'.The remaining grapes ferment in 5-ton stainless steel vats.After malolactic fermentation, the wine is transferred to 225 liter French oak barrels where it is aged for 18 months.
