The Gustavshof is located in the heart of Rheinhessen, about 30 km south of Mainz. It is a classic family business of the Roll family with 18 hectares of vineyards. Since 2012, they have been working biodynamically according to the Demeter guidelines. All wines are made vegan. Many are also alcohol-free and have very low levels of allergens such as sulfite and histamine.
Pinot gris and Riesling are their hobbyhorses, high-quality, sustainable red wines are their passion and rare regional varieties are their calling. However, they are also innovative at Gustavshof. Six years ago, for example, they created the Holunder Secco, from fresh elderflower and wine. A unique product with recently also an alcohol-free variant.
The Roll family of Gustavshof works biodynamically in the winery and vineyards according to Demeter guidelines. The biodynamic work with its holistic approach and its impulses helps them to achieve the high wine quality and makes the wines made more complex, sustainable and lively.
They divide their range of wines into “Gutsweine”, “Signature” wines and unfiltered natural wines. Even the estate wines meet a high quality standard for which they regularly receive awards. Gustavshof's “Signature” wines bear the special characteristics of the terroir of their best locations, the climate change of each vintage year and of course the activities in the wine cellar. Their “Nature” wines are a new wine category that focuses on uncompromising naturalness. In any case, there is something for everyone here!
