The Marche is located in the center of Italy and is wedged between the Apennines in the west and the Adriatic Sea in the east. The landscape is still rugged and full of nature. In 1950, Aristide Libenzi planted his first vines there. Later his daughter Laila took over and since 2013 her children Chiara and Andrea have been at the helm of this modern wine company. Rosso Conero DOC is grown south of the beautiful promontory of Ancona, on the Adriatic coast. The vineyards are located at an altitude of 570 meters, on the hills of the Monte Conero mountain.
Libenzi Zizzero Rosso Conero is made from 100% Montepulciano. The DOC covers a small area on the slopes of the Monte Conero massif just south of the port city of Ancona.
