Le Grand Verdus Les Petits Bulles Pet' Nat Blanc de Noir 2022
Spontaneously fermented in the bottle, it is now called Petnat. Certainly not with the hat thrown at it. Small but fine bubbles. Uncomplicated but very tasty drinks from Bordeaux. Read more
Here the stately Château Le grand Verdus clearly shows its modern side again. A Petnat is completely "hot" again in modern wine country and they understand that! It is of course all about the age-old technique of the Ancestrale method. It is bottled in a sturdy bottle with some residual sugar that ferments in the bottle and provides the necessary carbon dioxide is formed, unlike in Champagne. And no filtration, which causes a bit of cloudiness. Phew... Cloudy apple juice is also tastier, right? Made from the coolest plots of Cabernet Franc, Merlot and a touch of Sauvignon Blanc to create an easy-going drink feeling. No stress, no rush, chatting and drinking, that's it! Our bubbly friend will get you going. A plate of charcuterie, add some dried sausages and you will see how fun it will be
The vineyards of Château Le Grand Verdus are located in the heart of the hilly landscape in the AOC Bordeaux Supérieur area. The stately estate, with its 16th-century Renaissance residence, has been in the hands of the Le Grix de la Salle family since 1810. A traditional family. They have been passing on the art of winemaking from father to son for many generations. The fourth generation of winemakers is currently at the helm of Château Le Grand Verdus: Antoine and Thomas Le Grix de la Salle. The vineyards have a unique terroir and microclimate and benefit from the special composition of the landscape around Bordeaux. The enormous variations in elevation create a patchwork of different soil types, from limestone to clay and gravel. All these soil types contribute to the unique character of the wines of Château Le Grand Verdus.
