Barón is one of the oldest bodegas in the Jerez/Sherry wine region (from 1631!) and can be found in the old heart of Sanlúcar de Barrameda.Very authentic wines from different soleras: the basic wines are aged for 3 to 5 years and are bottled as 'Micaela'.Wines from older soleras are called 'Xixarito' (for example, the Manzanilla Pasada under this name is between 8 and 10 years old).When the oldest and most beautiful botas are tapped, the label says 'Soluqua': these are precious treasures.A very traditional company with antique solera systems, but the Rodríguez Carrasco family does not lose sight of the future.For example, they are investing heavily, an example of which is the recent purchase of vineyard property 'Poedo'.This consists of beautiful 'Albariza' grounds, extending into the Atlantic Ocean.Also very worth mentioning: the playful and cheerful way of labelling.This is also to emphasise the renewed impetus of this ancient wine region.
