Perusin Ribolla Gialla is made from the relatively unknown Ribolla Gialla grape, an indigenous grape variety from Colli Orientali. The grape has been planted since the 14th century and therefore has a rich history.
This wine is made by the leading winery Perusini in the Colli Orientali region in the province of Friuli-Venezia Giulia and has existed since 1965. Since then, the winery has built up a professional reputation for making high-quality wines.
Perusini has vineyards spread across various regions in Friuli. They make a lot of wine from indigenous grapes such as Ribolla Gialla, Refosco, Pinot Grigio but also Friulano. They also make a beautiful Merlot. The company works sustainably and with respect for the environment.
This Ribolla is matured in stainless steel tanks and has been on its yeast cells for about six months. The result is a juicy, fruity white wine with aromas of citrus, apple, peach, blossom and has a round mouthfeel with a typical almond bitterness in the aftertaste. The aftertaste is long and salty. and Very good combination with (almost) everything from the sea.
