Jean-Paul Aubron Muscadet Sèvre et Maine Sur Lie Haute Expression 2023
Elegant fresh white wine with aromas of green apple, blossom, citrus (lime, peach) and a nice minerality. The finish is long and soft due to the lie maturation. Very tasty as an aperitif or with a plateau fruits de mer. Read more
Since 1843, Jean Pascal Aubron’s family has been tending their vineyards around the town of Vallet, outside Nantes, near the Atlantic coast in the Loire region. They own 11 hectares of vineyards planted on gabbro (volcanic rock), which allows the Melon de Bourgogne grape to flourish while maintaining its wonderful acidity.
The Grand Fief de l’Audigère is a classified vineyard, whose wines have been recognized for their quality for centuries. Jean Aubron uses traditional vinification methods, with the wines being transferred halfway through the fermentation process to underground, glass-lined tanks, where they are finished and left on their lees for 6 to 10 months, depending on the quality of the year.
