A fresh style with playful acidity. Red fruit such as wild berries and a light vanilla note.
Wonderful for on the terrace but also as an accompaniment to a nice meal.

The Kruger-Rumpf winery is a well-known and highly regarded producer from the north of the Nahe. In Münster-Sarmsheim, the Rumpf family has been making wine for many generations, using vineyards in the Nahe valley and neighboring Rheinhessen. A real family estate with deep roots in regional culture, with in addition to the wine company also a 'Weinstube' and several guest rooms.
The winery has been committed to making quality wines for a long time, as evidenced by its membership of the VDP since 1992. But the real sprint to the top started under the leadership of the youthful brothers Georg (winemaker) and Philipp (business manager) Rumpf ; they are responsible for the remarkable leap in quality in recent years, which has not gone unnoticed internationally.
Georg makes fantastic Rieslings; intense and very terroir typified. This grape variety excels in the excellent vineyards of Pittersberg, Dautenpflänzer and Scharlachberg (the latter is located in Rheinhessen). The quality of this Grosse Gewächse can now rival that of famous orchards further south in the Nahe Valley. We also fell in love with the Weiss and Spätburgunders of this house.
Impressive across the board. And while the performance of this winery is already giving us complete satisfaction, we can have a lot of fun in a few decades if the rising trend continues in the coming years. Currently working sustainably, but no organic quality mark yet!
