Description
This is a very old Madeira wine, classified as "FRASQUEIRA". This wine was part of the wine collection of the family that owns this wine company. It is made from a noble grape variety in 1980 in which the quality of the grapes was high and the harvest was excellent, using only the best vines from Madeira Island. Prior to bottling, it benefited from a long aging period in old oak barrels. This allowed it to develop into a characteristic Madeira wine from the Boal grape, with its exceptional character, structure, aroma and full flavor.
It is important to let the wine breathe for a while after it has been opened to develop the fullness of its aromas. If only part of the wine is consumed, the rest can be kept in the bottle for years. Remember to use the extra cork that you get with the wine so that it is completely sealed. We recommend keeping the bottle upright, away from extreme temperatures. Serve at a temperature of approximately 18ºC. If the wine is kept in the bottle for many years, a natural sediment can form. This is a sign of life and part of the natural qualities of this genuine MADEIRA. We recommend that you serve it well so that it does not turn cloudy. If desired, the wine can be decanted.
