This is a heavy wine with a lot of finesse.El Recio has an intense nose with notes of chocolate, black fruit and vanilla. On the palate the taste is striking, predominantly round and silky, very delicious with subtle sweet hints. Fruity notes linger in the aftertaste, as do mineral notes.is a full-bodied wine that is also very pleasant to drink.
El Recio is made from 100% Tinta de Toro (Tempranillo).The grapes come from 90 to 100 year old vines with limited production.The grapes are manually harvested during the first fifteen days of October and transported to the wine cellars in small crates.The grape fermentation takes place in concrete barrels with a capacity of 15,000 kg.The malolatic fermentation is carried out in French oak barrels, as is the maturation for 14 months.This wine has not been filtered or clarified using harsh methods to preserve its natural characteristics.
