What a beautiful rosé! Apricot, an orange peel. Marmalade. The ginger touch is struck. The spiciness of pink peppercorns, a light, southern spiciness, the freshness and the bitterness of grapefruit. Read more
The monastery of Scala Dei was founded in 1184 by the Carthusian monks and in 1263 it was already written down how the wines should be made. First and most important point; the wine must consist of Garnacha! Carignan may be used in small parts. And in all these centuries this has never changed. Under the inspiring leadership of the renowned winemaker Ricard Rofes, Scala Dei (the steps of God) still excels in elegance and terroir expression. The vineyards of Scala Dei are the highest in Priorat and also very rich in the famous Licorella rock. These black schists provide cooling instead of heating. If used properly, this unique soil type provides freshness. Ricard Rofes works without chemical pesticides.
Perfect to combine with grilled vegetables, light meat dishes or on its own, to enjoy a relaxing summer afternoon.
