In the heart of the Langhe lie the beautiful, steep vineyards of Marco Porello. There Marco makes a very wide range of wines, from Moscato to Nebbiolo, and from Barbera to Arneis. Finally, he has a small vineyard with the grape variety Vermentino, which in Piedmont goes by the name Favorita. Each and every wine that typifies the diversity of Piedmont and is very representative of what the area has to offer.
Originating from the vineyards around the municipalities of Vezza d'Alba and Canale in Piedmont. The soil is sandy and calcareous. The grapes are picked by hand.
The grapes are gently crushed and undergo a short skin maceration. Then the alcoholic fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of 20 degrees in stainless steel tanks. After fermentation, the wine is left to mature on the lees ('sur lie'). This softens the wine and gives it extra structure.
