This Reuilly Gris Les Lignis is extremely fresh and light in character. Fresh dry with light spiciness, white peach, mint and honey and a long fresh aftertaste. Delicious to enjoy as such but also goes well with all kinds of dishes. Read more
The Pinot Gris naturally has some colour in the skin and this gives the wine its 'Gris' character which could actually put it in the rose category.
Valery Renaudat started his wine estate in 1999 after wine wanderings in Burgundy, Bordeaux and the US. He started with 2.5 hectares and now has 18 hectares at his disposal.
Valery does not have organic labels but does work cleanly and allows the biodiversity in the vineyards to flourish (herbs, flowers and grass grow between all the vines). Now with HVE label (sustainability!).
The vines are on average 20 years old. He is an avid promoter of the Pinot Noir as his grandfather was one of the first to plant Pinot Noir in Reuilly.
