Description
Winery with vineyards in the Sierra de Yerga in the Rioja Baja.Four wine families join forces here and grow Tempranillo, Garnacha, Graciano, Mazuelo and Tempranillo Blanco.The vineyards are located between 400 and 550 meters above sea level on iron-rich clay soils.Wine is made here under the leadership of Santiago Garde.The French and American oak barrels are stacked in the modern wine cellar.This Rioja Blanco is fermented in stainless steel barrels and thus retains its fruitiness and freshness.
La Rioja is an autonomous region and province in the north of Spain, directly below the Basque Country.We know it mainly from its wine growing, perhaps the most famous area in Spain.There is wine growing in all shapes and sizes, varying from cheap and moderate in quality, to national top with ditto prices.Tempranillo is by far the most important grape variety here, although a limited amount of other grapes may also be used.Rioja Alta is the northwestern part of the Rioja region, and the most sought-after in terms of quality.
