The Savigny-Lès-Beaune Rouge from Domaine Maurice Ecard comes from the vineyards surrounding the picturesque village of Savigny-lès-Beaune, in the north-western part of the Côte de Beaune, in the heart of the prestigious Burgundy wine region.
The Pinot Noir grapes undergo a cold maceration before fermentation at a controlled temperature, followed by a long fermentation. The wine is then aged for 12 months in oak barriques.
It is characterised by a garnet red colour. An elegant bouquet of flowers and red fruit precedes a structured and harmonious taste, enriched with velvety tannins that conclude with a finish that evokes pleasant, long-lasting toasted notes.
It is ideal in combination with salted hams, red meat, including spicy, and succulent game dishes.
