Refined Orange wine from Romania. Outspoken, surprising and high quality as we have come to expect from the Cramele Recas winery. Quince, Poire William and a touch of vanilla with of course that “orange” touch of tannin at the end. Read more
The Cramele Recas Estate in Romania, with its impeccable vineyards, regularly welcomes world-class flying winemakers to work with their team. This allows them to create top quality wines and constantly challenge themselves, drive innovation and winemaking to pursue with an open mind. This is also where their Solara Orange wine originated.
This Orange wine is made by allowing the grape skins and seeds of Feteasca Alba, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and Tamioasa Romaneasca to come into contact with the pressed juice, creating a deep orange hue. The wine ferments naturally without the addition of yeast, sulfur or other additives. The different varieties are then blended and bottled unfiltered and unrefined. Solara Orange Wines is dark straw yellow in color with orange hints, the nose is a delicate blend of quince, Poire William and a hint of vanilla. A complex and structured wine, with elegant fruit flavors of stone fruit, and is supported by a present tannin structure and a long aftertaste.
This wine is certainly a friend to many dishes such as hard and semi-hard cheeses, but also Caesar salad, poultry and flatfish such as turbot or sole with a Beurre Noisette from the oven.
