The grapes come from vineyards in the northern Vinho Verde region, on the border between Portugal and Spain. Quintas do Homeme is a family business with father (Nuno) and son (Antonio) managing the vineyards and the harvest, while grandmother (Nuno's mother) runs the restaurant kitchen... The business itself has been run for many years by Ana, who is not officially part of the family, but in practice is.
Made in stainless steel vats, the wine is kept at a low temperature to preserve the aromatic flavours and bottled immediately after fermentation, so that the carbon dioxide produced during fermentation can be captured in the wine and dissolve there until the wine is opened. Deliciously juicy and refreshing with an alcohol content of only 11%!!!
